Another one of those "At the Moment" questionnaire things...

10 Bands/Singers You've Been Listening to Lately......  The Thornbirds, Pink, Alexz Johnson (always), Justin  Timberlake, Three Days Grace, Fefe Dobson, Kaci Brown, Telenovela Star, Within Temptation, Christian Walz

9 Things You're Looking Forward To......  Finish packing so we can move, actually moving, unpacking once we get there, finishing my book, reading Love's Blind Fury from start to finish, seeing Kristina and her baby, finishing Kingdom Heats II, getting Tara groomed (she is shedding so bad!), and getting our deposit back from where I live now so I won't be broke as hell

8 Things You Like to Wear......  My black dress pants, my flip-flops that I wore in Van's wedding, baggy blue jeans, my blue dragon hoodie, sunglasses (I'm so posh), dangly earrings, my necklace my grandma gave me, nailpolish

7 Things That Annoy You......  Person #1 at work (you know who you are), Person #2 at work (he probably has an idea who he is, but is too arrogant to think twice about it), people who NEED to be in a relationship, people who use the words "I love you" too loosely, having to drive 45 minutes to see Jon, the fact that I haven't seen Kristina's baby yet, people speaking about you right in front of you but in another language (like you can't figure out they're totally bashing you)

6 Things You Touch Everyday......  My computer, my hairbrush, the jar of fish food, my bed, my cellphone, a book of some kind

5 Things You Do Everyday......  Play with my kitty Tara, text message someone, read at least one chapter of a book, wash my face, brush my hair

4 People You Want to Spend More Time With......  Jon, Kristina, Van, and Ms. Mimi

3 Movies You Could Watch Everyday......  "Mother", "That Thing You Do!", and "The Boondock Saints"

2 Of Your Favorite Songs at the Moment......  "U + UR Hand" by Pink, and "Downside" by The Thornbirds

1 Person That You'd Spend the Rest of Your Life With......  as in love? Haven't met them yet.

This is by no means a really happy song.  But I LOVE it.  I heard it for the first time the other day and have been playing it non stop.  The rock music is awesome and really makes this song beautiful.  Everyone should download it NOW because I said so!

Downside ... performed by The Thornbirds

What is this?
Look at me
Any fool can plainly see
I’m a coward, I’m a fake
What the f*** was my mistake?
There is no longer hope for happiness in me.
Look at this
I can’t win
Every opportunity that I take falls apart
So much weight upon my heart
There is no emptiness like the one inside of me

I’m on the downside looking up at the world
Reaching out for a piece
That’s missing on the inside of me

Sad to say I must quit
Theres’ no reason for me to stay
No one knows, no one cares
I could scream but who would hear?
I am surrounded by a wall of misery

I’m on the downside looking up at the world
Reaching out for a piece
And it’s killing me now
I’m on the downside looking up at the world
Reaching out for a piece
That’s missing on the inside

Once the world was a pretty place
But the beauty has begun to fade
Now my heart keeps slipping away

I’m on the downside looking up at the world
Reaching out for a piece
And it’s killing me now
I’m on the downside looking up at the world
Reaching out for a piece
That’s missing on the inside

Chapter 18 of my book is completed.  The last two chapters need to be touched up a little, a few things added here and there, but I am fairly pleased with them.  And I needed to get them out of the way before I could continue.  I'm thinking there will be 25 or 26 chapters in all for the first book.

I already have a pretty full outline for what is left.  I can't believe I have almost completed an entire book!  I am so pleased with myself, though I know it might sound a bit conceited.  I just can't believe that I am so close to accomplishing something that has been a goal of mine for so long.

May 1st is right around the corner.  That is the day that Jon and I decided we were going to exchange copies of our books.  We're going to go over each other's books and do a final proofing before we send them off to publishers.  I am so excited!!!!!!

I signed on tonight to end my Xanga life.  I have been away for so long and been so busy that I really just haven't had time to do anything here.  I have a myspace site and all of my friends are OBSESSED with myspace and always head there to do any blogging or to leave me messages.  In truth, I don't really think anyone of them use Xanga anymore.  None of their sites have been updated in months either.

So I logged in, ready to shut down my site for good and end this chapter of my life.

And I fell in love with Xanga all over again.

My site is so pretty.    Maybe not to everyone else, but I just love being able to play with the colors and the pictures.  I love how I can put little quotes at the top of the screen.  I love how everything is accessible and ready to click on.  I love the new feature where a little box pops up and shows me what the page I'm about to click on looks like.  I love the blogrings.  I love XANGA!

I hate myspace!

I just cannot get into it!  I don't like the way it looks.  It is harsh and ugly.  Sure you can change your main page but everything else comes up terrible looking.  I don't like the way the pictures are arranged.  I don't like that my quote at the top is this big compared to everything else on the page.  I don't like that it is almost only acceptable to put a picture of yourself up because everyone bombards you with creepy e-mails about wanting to know what you look like if you have a Sailor Moon picture up.  I don't like that I get perverted e-mails and friend requests.  I don't like anything about it other than the fact that everyone I know is on there.

I have decided that myspace is almost only enjoyable if you are a nymphomaniac or a pedophile.  And I hate it!

I will NOT close Xanga.  I WILL NOT!  Even if no one reads this!  I love posting my blogs here!

Xanga.  I love you.

I feel like I have been gone forever.  I am just so busy lately.  I have been writing like a mad woman.  I have over 90 pages done and just finished chapter 11.  I have been typing furiously all week!  I love it.  I am finally at a point in the story where everything is explained, for now anyway, and I can focus on my characters and what I REALLY want to happen.  It's going to be FABULOUS!  The goal is to be finished by May 1st.  Then my friend Jon and I are going to exchange books (he's writing one too) and critique one another.  By June 1st we want to have our final rewrites finished and ready to send off to publishers.  It's a good goal, though I don't know if it's fesible.  I might need longer to perfect my masterpiece.

One of my favorite bands, Within Temptation, is finally getting some major publicity!  Their song "Stand My Ground" is featured in the trailer for the new movie Blood and Chocolate!  I was so ecstatic when I heard it!  I love them!  You NEED to download "Angels" and "Forsaken" if you like that song!!!!

I cannot believe "Degrassi."  They killed off JT!  I was a wreck!  I was sobbing when I saw the video diary they had at the end of the episode.  I was balling like a baby...

Just to leave everyone on a funny note...  you HAVE to check out these videos.  They are so funny!

Kelly -- Shoes (there are some swear words, sorry)

Kelly -- Text Message Breakup (a few more swears)

Charlie the Unicorn (absolutely the funniest thing I have seen in AGES)

These are all great!  My friends and I can't get through a single day without saying, "Let's get some shoes" or "We're on a bridge, Charlie!"  It's hilarious!
